Clare is a writer across forms and runs ongoing literature project Pieced Work. An excerpt from her novel-in-progress, Foxtide, was longlisted for the CRAFT 2024 Flash Prose Prize. Other writing has won the FAW Jim Hamilton award, and been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and The Australian/Vogel’s award, and longlisted for the Griffith Review Novella Project; excerpts have appeared in The Australian and 21D Magazine and received mentorships from Varuna and Express Media. Clare has published poems and essays in Modern Poetry in Translation, cinder, Swamphen: A Journal of Cultural Ecology, and elsewhere.
