Clare is a writer across forms and runs ongoing literature project Pieced Work. Her writing has won the FAW Jim Hamilton award, and been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and the Australian/Vogel’s award, and longlisted for the Griffith Review Novella Project and the Craft Literary Flash Prose Prize; excerpts have appeared in Review (Weekend Australian) and 21D Magazine and received mentorships from Varunaand Express Media. She has published poems and essays in Modern Poetry in Translation, c i n d e r , and elsewhere. Clare has worked for commercial, news, and academic media in Australia and the UK.
