About Clare is a writer across forms, a researcher, and editor. Since 2011 she has run Pieced Work, an ongoing literature project with an interest in makers and inventive collaborations. Her work has been recognised in the Craft Flash Prose Prize, the Bridport Prize, the Australian/Vogel’s Literature Award, and the Jim Hamilton AM Award, and supported by Varuna, and Express Media. Recent work appears in Swamphen: A Journal of Cultural Ecology. Textile Message, now in its fifth series, is her current collaborative project, an artists’ enquiry into significant clothes and other textile objects. Clare has mentored writers with the Ministry of Stories, Fellowship of Australian Writers, and The Smith Family. She recently completed a PhD in creative writing at RMIT.
